Solomon Thomas is entering his first season with the Dallas Cowboys and his ninth in the NFL, but the defensive lineman will tackle a new challenge when he makes his Broadway debut.
Thomas will make a cameo in “MJ the Musical,” in a one-night-only role on June 13. The Stamford product is no stranger to the theater scene and presented an award at the 2024 Tony Awards.
Thomas has also worked as a theater correspondent for CBS, and producer Lia Vollack expressed excitement at bringing him aboard.
“Solly has been such a great supporter and friend of Broadway and our show,” said Vollack, “We couldn’t think of a better way to thank him for his time in New York - giving him his Broadway debut!”
Fans looking to attend Thomas’ performance can buy tickets on Broadway’s website starting at $112.64.
Thomas said he was honored to be a part of the production and called it the perfect way to end his time in New York, where he played for the past three years with the New York Jets.
“I cannot think of a better way to celebrate my time in New York than by making my Broadway debut!!” said Thomas. “I am so grateful to MJ for making this dream come true and for the support over the past few years. It’s truly an honor to be able to witness the greatness of these performers. I hope to see everyone at the Neil Simon Theatre on June 13!”
