Manchester United are on their way back from their post-season tour of Asia having raised £8 million for the club in their three days abroad.
The tour consisted in two matches, against ASEAN All-Stars and the Hong Kong national team, with Harry Maguire, Diogo Dalot and Andre Onana participating in a meet and greet in Mumbai, India.
However, the tour hasn’t gone without its controversy and disappointment.
United’s first game after a disastrous season saw them defeated by the ASEAN All-Stars at Malaysia’s national team stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
As if the loss wasn’t bad enough, when leaving the field, Alejandro Garnacho flicked his middle finger to fans in the stadium, looking clearly disappointed with the result.
However, The Times has reported that this wasn’t the only drama of their time in Malaysia, and whilst nothing was extreme like Garnacho’s gesture, the United players were let loose in Malaysia.

During the trip the players didn’t have a curfew set for them, letting the stars enjoy some freedom after a truly disastrous season.
It’s understood that two stars truly took the opportunity to explore in their downtime, as Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho sped around the city on electric scooters.
A few unnamed stars kicked off their first night in town, attending a nightclub with security staff on Monday night.
Joshua Zirkzee, unimpressed with the hotel’s room service, headed across the road to a Thai restaurant to enjoy a meal.
It’s also understood that following the loss to the ASEAN All-Stars, several players and staff sat and had drinks in the hotel bar, with Bruno Fernandes footing the bill for the whole night.
The calibre of the hotel though has been highlighted, with a gold vending machine in the corner of the bar, selling 187 ml bottle of champagne for £40 each, with five bottles getting you a sixth one free.
From these antics, its clear that the United squad were trying to enjoy some down time following the season, only doing the tour as they’re contractually obliged to, aiming to lessen the financial blow of United missing out on Champions League football.
