Since the Europa League final, it’s becoming abundantly clear that Alejandro Garnacho is done with his time at Old Trafford, behaving disgracefully on the club’s post-season tour.
The drama began as the Argentine winger let his frustrations out as he vocally undermined Ruben Amorim in a Europa League post-match interview.
Venting to the reporter, Garnacho commented: “Our season was s***. We didn’t beat anyone in the league. We lacked a lot of things. When you don’t score goals, you always need more.
“Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today – I don’t know. I’m going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.”
Understandably angry by having one of his players undermining him, Amorim didn’t let the comments slide, when he addressed the winger in training in front of his teammates, saying “you better pray that you can find a club to sign you”.
However, Garnacho still found himself on the flight for the Asia tour, although United might be regretting that decision.

Alejandro Garnacho and his questionable behaviour on Asia tour
Since being on the post-season tour, Garnacho has been seen visibly uninterested in meet-and-greets, signing fans shirts whilst dramatically yawning, and flicking up his middle finger to a filming fan as he walked off the pitch following United’s 1-0 loss to ASEAN All-Stars.
Unfortunately, this crude gesture wasn’t the only disappointing act from the Argentina international as he publicly snubbed one of the ASEAN All-Stars team.
The Times has reported how following the match, Pahang midfielder Sergio Fabian Ezequiel Aguero waited by the United dressing room after having received a promise from Garnacho during the game to give him his shirt.
However, the excitement of receiving the talented youngster’s shirt was replaced with the age old saying of “never meet your heroes” as the winger left the dressing room, ignoring Aguero as he walked past.
Thankfully for the Malaysia international, one of United’s kitmen found the shirt, which had been abandoned on the floor, and fulfilled the promise made by Garnacho.
It’s clear as more time passes that the 20-year-old is past caring about his image at Old Trafford now and it’s unlikely he’ll be able to save it and redeem himself to star at the club.
Thankfully for him though, he’s not short of options, with AC Milan and Napoli interested, whilst Erik ten Hag is also plotting a reunion at Bayer Leverkusen.
