Ferran Torres has vowed “the best is yet to come” following his best ever season with Barcelona in 2024-25.
The Spain star scored 19 goals and bagged seven assists and proved a more than able back-up to top scorer Robert Lewandowski.
There’s no doubt last season was a high point for Ferran after some early struggles at Barcelona, and he says the club are still yet to see the best of him.
“You could say I went through a rough patch and came back stronger. From that came a better Ferran, with a better mentality, and who still has plenty of room for improvement. The best Ferran is yet to come,” he told Club del Deportista.
“My worst moment was two years ago, when I had a bad season at Barça. It helped me change my mindset and be here. I had doubts in my head about whether I could rise up and be important, but I’ve managed it.”
Ferran was forced to miss the end of the season after undergoing surgery for appendicitis but will hope he can continue his great form into the 2025-26 campaign.
