Wild Boxing Match Breaks Out After Knicks Vs. Pacers Game 5

The rivalry between the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers has hit an all-time new high as basketball fans are now boxing each other outside of Madison Square Garden in New York City.

On Thursday, the Knicks captured a much needed win over the Pacers in Game 5 of NBA’s Eastern Conference Finals in New York City. In case you don’t know, the Knicks haven’t made it this far in the NBA playoffs in 25 years. The city has been eagerly awaiting a team good enough to bring the Knicks to the NBA Finals and it appears they’re inching closer.

After Thursday’s game — which the Knicks won by 17 points — a hoard of fans gathered outside of MSG for a good old pop-up boxing match. Gloves and headgear were provided and the New York crowd circled around to form the “ring.” Fans from both the Knicks and Pacers side proceeded to duke it out and throw absolute haymakers. The Knicks fan eventually won the fight after the dude from Indiana was unable to continue.

In case you were wondering, the Knicks travel back to Indiana this Saturday night for Game 6. If they’re able to win on the road the series will go back to NYC on Monday for Game 7, which would give basketball fans another chance to duke it out on the streets of New York.
