Legendary German midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger, has played with a host of world class talent throughout his career for Bayern Munich and two season stint at Manchester United, but have you ever wondered which teammates in particular stood out to the “Fußballgott”?
Well, wonder no more. Thanks to a recent interview with Mail Sport, we can see exactly who made the biggest impression across Schweinsteiger’s illustrious career after the World Cup winner picked his ultimate former teammates XI (via @iMiaSanMia).
“Schweini’s” XI consists of nine Bayern Munich players and just two Manchester United players, which makes sense since he spent the vast majority of his career in Munich.
The most surprising omission was perhaps the prolific Robert Lewandowski, especially since Schweinsteiger also shared only one season with Zlatan Ibrahimović, who he ultimately picked ahead of the Pole.
All in all, the Bastian Schweinsteiger Former Teammates XI would be fit to rival even the fiercest European sides.
What would you rate Schweinsteiger’s XI out of 10? Did he miss any other notable teammates?
