Jeremie Frimpong was officially unveiled as a Liverpool player on Friday, following the announcement of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s departure to Real Madrid on the same day.
Liverpool have finally confirmed their first signing of the summer, as the Dutch right-back arrives at Anfield to follow in the legacy of the club’s iconic No. 66.
Frimpong cost Liverpool nearly €30 million, as the club triggered his release clause to bring him to Merseyside. He is set to sign a five-year deal, and further details of his contract are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
The Premier League champions aren’t stopping here. In the context of a busy summer, club chairman Tom Werner was asked whether it would be an active transfer window, to which he replied: “It’s already busy.”
