This summer transfer push for Liverpool now includes Serie A midfield star Ederson. That is taking their target count to six.
Frimpong Signs as Liverpool’s Summer Overhaul Gathers Pace
Liverpool have kicked off their June transfer window with real intent. The Reds have already landed right-back Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen. He has signed a five-year deal and is set to step into Trent Alexander-Arnold’s spot.
The PL champions are smart spenders rather than splashing big money in the transfer market. They’re ready to back Slot with quality signings after a quiet window last year. The club wants to build a squad capable of defending their Premier League title. And also making a real run at the UCL next season.

Liverpool Step Up Chase for Atalanta Midfielder Ederson
As per Tutto Atalanta, the Reds are now working to secure Atalanta star Ederson. He is a multi-tasking midfielder and is on radar of major clubs. Team’s such as Manchester United, Barcelona, and Newcastle are keeping an eye on him.
Italian reporters say the Slot’s side have previously made contact with Atalanta. In addition, the Brazilian will not be renewing until 2027. The Italian club paid €23m for Ederson in 2022. They are flexible on selling him to maximize profit at around €60m.
Ederson is keen on testing himself at a top European club. And Liverpool’s strong position in both domestic and Europe gives them a big edge. With his ability to play both deep and as a box-to-box No. 8, he would be a great fit in Slot’s system.
This could be a major blow to Man Utd. They are unable to offer UCL football after their Europa League final loss. Liverpool are also eyeing Florian Wirtz as their next playmaker. That show’s that this June could be one of the busiest in recent memory at Anfield.
