Paris Saint-Germain will make history if they can secure their first Champions League triumph against Inter Milan this Saturday.
Despite a plethora of domestic titles in recent years, Les Parisiens have yet to clinch the coveted European Cup. PSG's closest attempt was in 2020, when they suffered a bitter 1-0 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich.
Kingsley Coman was the player who shattered dreams across the French capital that night, with his 59th-minute goal being the deciding factor between the two teams. However, with a young squad brimming with talent under the management of Luis Enrique, the French giants have a great chance of emerging victorious at the Allianz Arena.
PSG's journey to the final hasn't been smooth having finished 15th in the league phase before facing Ligue 1 rivals Brest in the play-offs for a spot in the last 16. Over two legs, PSG managed to rack up an aggregate score of 7-0, before defeating Premier League champions Liverpool on penalties, Aston Villa in the quarter-finals and Arsenal in the semis.
While Enrique, who has already savoured UCL glory with Barcelona in 2014/15, will be keen to add a second title to his CV, he'll need to mastermind a win over a formidable Inter Milan team to achieve it. Inter, no stranger to Champions League glory, already have three titles under their belt in the competition, and they'll be looking to avenge their own final defeat to Manchester City two years ago.
After narrowly missing out on the Serie A title to Napoli by just one point this season, I Nerazzurri are keen to secure some form of silverware from the 2024/25 season. Due to finishing fourth in the Champions League standings, Inter avoided a play-off tie to reach the knockout stages, meaning they've played two fewer games than PSG in the competition.
They defeated Feyenoord in the last 16, ousted Bayern in the quarter-finals and secured a 7-6 aggregate win over Barcelona in the semis to book their place in the final. With an exhilarating evening of football anticipated, here's all you need to know to tune in without spending a penny...
