Raphinha has been talking about Lamine Yamal and thinks there’s no doubt that the teenager can go on to become the very best play in the world.
Yamal is already being tipped to win the Ballon d’Or at the tender age of 17 after starring in Barcelona’s double-winning season.
Raphinha says it’s now down to the teenager to take his career as far as he wants.
“He has no ceiling. He can go wherever he wants. I’ve already spoken to him about it and made it very clear. It’s up to him,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
“He has quality, commitment, and a good work ethic. And what he does on the pitch is visible to everyone. For me, he has no ceiling. If he wants to reach the top, he’ll do it easily.”
Yamal and Raphinha were both crucial to Barca’s success this season and have since been rewarded with new contracts. Raphinha has signed on at Barca until 2028, while Yamal’s new contract runs until 2031.
