Unlike in normal years, there will be two transfer windows this summer, and the first of these is set to open on June 1st.
That is to primarily to allow clubs competing in the Club World Cup to supplement their squads ahead of it, although other teams can also take advantage of it
The window will close briefly on June 10th, before reopening again on June 16th, and remaining open until it closes for good on September 1st at 7 pm.
Among the players expected to move in this mini-window is Arsenal midfielder Jorginho. The midfielder is out of contract at the Emirates and is set to join Brazilian club Flamengo having agreed a three-year deal with them. Flamengo are one of the teams who will be playing in this year’s expanded competition.
Chelsea are one of the Premier League’s two representatives, but they have not been linked with any last-minute additions at this stage.
