Leeds United given green light for Emi Buendia transfer amid Manor Solomon update

Leeds United are currently preparing for their dream return to the Premier League - and they could have a busy summer transfer window ahead of them.

Daniel Farke's squad will be looking ahead to next season as they return to the Premier League after a two-year absence. Leeds secured the Championship title to clinch automatic promotion and will be joined by Burnley and Sunderland in the top-flight.

The summer transfer window opens on Sunday for 10 days, due to the Club World Cup. After that, the window will then open again on June 16 for the rest of the summer until deadline day on September 1.

Leeds are already being linked with several potential new signings ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Here, LeedsLive takes a look at some of the latest Leeds transfer news and rumours that have emerged over the last 24 hours or so:

Emi Buendia 'bid' made

Reports have emerged claiming that Leeds have submitted a bid to try and sign Aston Villa star Emi Buendia.

Journalist Sebastien Vidal has claimed on X - formerly known as Twitter - that the Whites have launched an offer worth £16.8million to sign Buendia this summer.

The report claims that Villa manager Unai Emery has given the green light for that transfer to be completed, with Buendia himself also keen on a move to Elland Road.

Manor Solomon update

Leeds have been handed an update regarding Manor Solomon's future at Tottenham Hotspur.

Solomon has returned to Spurs following a successful season on loan with Leeds.

The Mail Online have reported that Leeds are "pushing" to sign Solomon on a permanent deal this summer. However, the report claims that the Whites are being forced to wait on a potential move due to continued uncertainty around Ange Postecoglou's future as Tottenham manager.
