The most important piece of business Wolves will do this summer is replacing their talisman Matheus Cunha, and several targets have emerged.
Cunha is on his way to Manchester United after agreeing on personal terms with Ruben Amorim’s men. The 26-year-old has become one of the Premier League’s best number 10s after plundering 15 goals in 2024/25.
The Brazilian will leave a huge void that will need to be filled. Wolves have been linked to Bilal El Khannouss, with the Foxes slapping a £22 million price tag on the Moroccan following their relegation.
Wolves have also placed Yuri Alberto on their transfer list, seeing the Brazilian as the perfect replacement for Cunha. However, Alberto recently suffered an injury that will keep him out until July or August.

How Florian Wirtz’s move to Liverpool will impact Harvey Elliott
At the start of May, Harvey Elliott emerged as a Wolves target after starting just twice for Arne Slot’s men in the Premier League.
Liverpool placed an outrageous £40 million price tag on Elliott, with the 22-year-old seen as someone who can develop into his huge potential.
Although Elliott wanted to stay at Liverpool in March, he also wants to make a decision this summer that is best for his career.
The youngster was in tears at Anfield last weekend, which may signal him playing his final game for the club, and there is one other variable that suggests he could be pushed out the door.

Liverpool are in advanced negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen after tabling a record £109 million bid for Florian Wirtz, per BBC Sport.
The German is one of the best attacking midfielders on the planet and operates in a similar position to Elliott, floating in the right channel.
A transfer for Wirtz is surely bad news for the Englishman, who will see his game time and development restricted even more in 2025/26.
Elliott’s stats for Liverpool
Elliott has been playing professional football for over six years now. After making his Fulham debut at the age of 15 in September 2018, the star has accumulated a lot of appearances.
Following his transfer to Liverpool in 2019, the England under-21 player has played 147 matches while accumulating 35 goal involvements.
Harvey Elliott’s Liverpool stats
147 games
15 goals
20 assists
A lot of those games have come from the bench but it’s a decent return for someone still so young and with a lot of room to develop.
Wolves fans weren’t a fan of Elliott’s price, and considering he only started twice in the top flight last term, they’re right. However, if he is the target they all go in for, perhaps Pereira can get the very best out of him.
