It would be a major blow if Manchester United sold Bruno Fernandes this summer.
Time and time again, Bruno Fernandes has proven to be Manchester United’s most valuable player.
After winning Manchester United Player of the Year for a fourth season, it’s no wonder that the dressing room is ‘desperate’ for Fernandes to stay put.
That will depend on how resilient Ineos will be ahead of a significant offer from Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal.
Reports suggest a meeting took place between Al-Hilal and Fernandes’ agent recently, with the Saudi club prepared to pay the Portugal international £200m spread over three years.
Ruben Amorim broke his silence on Fernandes’ future on Friday, but the United head coach kept his cards close to his chest when asked about the matter.
Fernandes’ record for United speaks for itself.
Following his arrival at Old Trafford from Sporting CP in 2020, Fernandes flourished immediately and has registered an incredible 185 goal contributions in 290 appearances for the club.

Al-Hilal try Cristiano Ronaldo plan to lure Bruno Fernandes from Man Utd
Fernandes, 30, has a decision to make whether United fans like it or not.

Nobody disputes Fernandes’ ability to play at the highest level, but Al-Hilal are doing all they can to persuade their main target to move to the Middle East.
Sources close to the situation have revealed to United in Focus that Al-Hilal are attempting to sign Cristiano Ronaldo too, to help convince Fernandes to join them.
They are also hoping to appoint Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi as their head coach following the Champions League final and believe he could be key to signing both Ronaldo and Fernandes.
“Al-Hilal are going for this,” Graeme Bailey explains. “Inzaghi, Ronaldo and now the Premier League’s finest.
“I am told that Ronaldo has told Al-Hilal to get Bruno. There is a real belief within the corridors of power in Saudi football that they can get Bruno.
“They are offering him wages only Ronaldo and Benzema have surpassed, they really are pushing the boat out.
“The Pro League’s record transfer was €90m for Neymar, they don’t often spend huge amounts but they are also willing to pay £100m for Bruno.
“They didn’t get their top target for this summer in the shape of Mo Salah, but Bruno could be the big one.
“Al Hilal want to win the Club World Cup, and if they can bag Inzaghi, Ronaldo and Bruno…that would be some statement.
“United have told Bruno he isn’t going…but 100m would be a lot to turn down for a player of his age, no matter how important.”
What’s next for Bruno Fernandes?
It’s been another busy season for Fernandes.
Fernandes made 57 appearances for United and will represent Portugal in the next round of internationals next week, which means he has less time to relax after a gruelling campaign.
Portugal take on Germany in the Nations League semi-final on Wednesday, 4 June.
It means Fernandes needs to return from Malaysia in time to prepare for a tie he will be determined to win for his country.
Ronaldo will also be involved.
