Manchester United are set for a big transfer window this summer as they aim to rebuild under Ruben Amorim.
Man United manager Ruben Amorim is set for a busy summer as he aims to build a squad that can improve on what has been a historically bad season for the Red Devils in the Premier League.
They failed to qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League, meaning that it could be more difficult for them to secure summer signings over PL rivals such as Newcastle, Chelsea and Arsenal.
However, they have been linked to several top-class players in recent weeks, so we thought we’d ask Chat GPT AI to predict who United will sign this summer. This is what it said...
Matheus Cunha
Cunha has had arguably the best season of his career for Wolves this year, scoring 15 goals in 33 games and providing six assists for Vito Pereira’s side. He signed a new contract in January, but it added a release clause with a view to him leaving this summer. United are the front-runners to land the Brazilian, and he is expected to sign for the Red Devils despite the fact that they failed to qualify for the Champions League. AI said: “Amorim views him as a pivotal addition to strengthen United's attacking options.”
Bryan Mbeumo
AI also suggested that United would sign Mbeumo, who has also had a career year this season in the Premier League. The Brentford winger has scored 20 goals in 38 Premier League matches this season, he also provided seven assists, and has been subject to a lot of transfer speculation heading into the summer.
Liam Delap
Ipswich Town’s Delap was the third player that AI thinks United will add this summer as they aim to replace Rasmus Hojlund, who has been poor, scoring just four goals in the Premier League.
Viktor Gyokeres
In somewhat of a surprise, AI predicted that United would sign two strikers this summer, with Viktor Gyokeres also suggested to move to Old Trafford and join former manager Amorim at the club. The Sweden international striker looks most likely to move to Arsenal as things stand, as they are in talks over a £59m deal for him. Gyokeres scored 39 goals in 33 league games for Sporting CP this year.
AI said: “The Swedish international scored 34 goals under Amorim at Sporting. Their previous working relationship could be advantageous for United.”
