Amid interest from Arsenal, RB Leipzig are keen to sell Benjamin Sesko quickly to allow them to spend money this summer, according to a report.

Charlie Wyett reports for The S*n that RB Leipzig would ideally like to sell Benjamin Sesko to Arsenal next week, telling the player they want a swift resolution to his situation so they can start spending money on incomings.
Leipzig held talks with Sesko this week, letting him know he can leave, but Wyett suggests the club are unlikely to receive their desired £85m. A fee closer to £60m is reportedly more likely.
That’s if Arsenal do decide to push for Sesko’s transfer, with the report adding that the Gunners haven’t ruled out a move for Viktor Gyokeres instead.

Elsewhere, reporters have been more convinced that Sesko is now Arsenal’s top target.
Philipp Hinze of Sky Sport Germany reports that negotiations between Arsenal and RB Leipzig for the transfer of Benjamin Sesko are now underway, with talks revolving around the structure of the deal.
Fabrizio Romano wrote on Thursday that Arsenal had started initial concrete talks for Sesko’s signing, claiming the forward “will leave” Leipzig this summer.

The Gunners seem to have an advantage over other suitors in Sesko’s case, due to the long-term nature of their pursuit. The club previously attempted to sign the 21-year-old in the summer of 2024 and January 2025, but were turned down on both occasions.
Sesko scored 21 goals for Leipzig in 2024/25, assisting a further six. That included four goals in eight Champions League games, with only Bukayo Saka scoring more in the competition for Arsenal this season despite the team’s run to the semi-final.
The striker also scored five goals in eight games for Slovenia, helping his side to avoid relegation from League B of the Nations League. He’s been called up again for a couple of friendlies against Luxembourg and Bosnia & Herzegovina over the upcoming June break, so his season isn’t done yet.
