Lazio defender Mario Gila is ‘fascinated by the Premier League’, but Brighton and Wolves may not be the moves he wants.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who report that Brighton and Wolves are both interested in the 24-year-old.
They explain that all efforts at Lazio at this moment in time are focused on convincing Gila to stay. He’s been a key player for the club under Maurizio Sarri.
They know that there is Premier League interest in him. First it was Brighton and Wolves, but Chelsea are also in the mix. They also know that Gila is fascinated by the Premier League and would presumably jump at the chance to move there.
The problem for Brighton and Wolves is that he is aiming to join a club fighting for big goals or looking to relaunch themselves to achieve them. In other words, neither of those sides at this moment in time.
They may be wise to turn their attention elsewhere, or they may end up spending more than required just to convince the defender into the move in the first place.
