Galatasaray could launch move for Barcelona star this summer

A member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has this week been linked with a move to Turkey, with Galatasaray.

The player in question? Iñaki Peña.

Shot-stopper Peña has been hotly tipped for a move away from Catalunya’s capital this summer.

Already behind both Wojciech Szczęsny and Marc-André ter Stegen in the pecking order between the posts in Hansi Flick’s squad, and with Barcelona now [actively pursuing](https://www.goal.com/en/lists/joan-garcia-barcelona-transfer-goalkeeper-excited-espanyol/bltaeffcf1f6c0cd061) the signature of Espanyol standout Joan García, Peña looks set to be the odd man out.

Now on the lookout for a new no.1 of their own following the retirement of club legend Fernando Muslera, the aforementioned Galatasaray, in turn, have been credited with an interest in the out-of-favour Barca star.

Peña actually previously spent time on Gala’s books, on loan during the 2021/22 campaign.

And having left a positive impression on those behind the scenes in Istanbul, as per **[Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20250530/1002474619/emotivo-adios-muslera-abre-puerta-galatasaray-inaki-pena.html)**, a reunion could be on the cards this summer, on this occasion by way of a permanent transfer.
