The Jets continue to move through their offseason program. The team is also reportedly working on keeping a pair of core players in green and white for a long time. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the team has begun discussing contract extensions with cornerback Sauce Gardner and wide receiver Garrett Wilson. Both became eligible for a contract extension after completing their third season in the NFL. Early in the offseason the Jets had to focus on free agency and then the NFL Draft. Now the front office has a lighter workload, making it easier to get these contracts done. It’s good to hear the Jets are focused on this. Gardner and Wilson are both really good players. Keeping really good players on your team is the essence of a front office’s job.
