"Phenomenal" Man Utd star also wanted by Saudi clubs alongside Bruno Fernandes - Ben Jacobs

Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho is a target for Saudi Arabian clubs Al-Nassr and NEOM SC, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Old Trafford captain is said to be "strongly considering" a move to the Middle East after GMS revealed that he had been made an eye-watering offer worth £65m-per-year to trade the Premier League for the Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, who want to sign the Portugal international before the Club World Cup next month.

But while the club are awaiting a final decision from the midfielder, who has "said yes" to the Saudi project, he is not the only Man Utd star being eyed for a move to Saudi.

NEOM SC also keen on Argentine winger

20-year-old winger Garnacho has been a regular in the side under Ruben Amorim this season, but after a public fall-out following the Europa League final, he has been told to find a new club this summer.

With INEOS being very outspoken about the financial situation at the club, a sale is said to be on the table as any money claimed would be recorded as pure profit on the club's accounts, helping with their PSR and FFP issues.

Chelsea and Napoli have previously been linked with a move for the former Atletico Madrid youngster, but now Jacobs has revealed while speaking to The United Stand that there is also interest from the Middle East and Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr side.

"There's two sides to every story, but maybe clubs are starting to wonder why Manchester United wants such a phenomenal talent like Alejandro Garnacho out the door.

"Garnacho doesn't have a future at Manchester United, and I think the club are even more bullish because they know it's pure profit.

"Maybe such an aggressive line wouldn't have been taken if a sale wouldn't reflect so positively on the books. But I would be very surprised if Garnacho plays another Premier League game for Manchester United.

"I think they realize an exit suits all parties, and still you have Napoli and potentially Chelsea, and there's Saudi interest in Garnacho as well.

"Keep an eye on Al-Nassr in particular. As I exclusively revealed a few weeks ago, Al-Nassr's first choice is Luis Diaz, but it's not a guarantee that he will exit, because Liverpool are kind of 50-50, and it will depend on the offer and the player.

"If Diaz doesn't go, Garnacho is also on Al-Nassr's list, and another club that really like him are NEOM SC, but I'm not so sure that Garnacho would accept NEOM's proposal, because the finances will be less."

A transfer fee hasn't been mentioned for the summer so far, but Man Utd were said to be valuing Garnacho at around £60m during the January transfer window.

A similar fee would be likely be expected and Saudi clubs would have no problem paying that, so it would just come down to convincing Garnacho to make the move.
