Andres Iniesta has been building his all-time footballing XI.
We’ve seen many players, pundits and commentators build their dream XI over the years.
Glenn Hoddle picked Micky van de Ven in his dream XI, while Paul Scholes put Luka Modric in his dream midfield.
Now, Andres Iniesta has had a go at taking on this challenge, and he’s made some interesting choices.
Iniesta showed a clear bias here towards his former Barcelona teammates, and he actually picked one player who would go on to star for Chelsea.
Indeed, in his attack, Iniesta picked Pedro alongside both Lionel Messi and David Villa in his frontline.

Andres Iniesta picks former Chelsea star, Pedro, in his all-time XI
Iniesta didn’t take long to consider who was in his all-time XI.
The Spaniard, quite simply, picked a selection of his favourite teammates from his time at Barcelona.
Victor Valdes was chosen in goal, while the classic back four of Dani Alves, Carles Puyol, Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba were across the back four.
Meanwhile, Ivan Rakitic, Xavi and Sergio Busquets were in the midfield just behind Pedro, Messi and Villa.
Pedro would eventually leave Barcelona to join Chelsea for £21m, where he would continue to be successful, winning a Premier League title under Antonio Conte’s management.
Pedro left Chelsea for Roma, and while Pedro almost came back to England with Everton, he would then leave Roma for Lazio in a very controversial move.
Andres Iniesta’s record alongside Pedro
Iniesta picked Pedro in his all-time XI, and it’s easy to understand why.
Iniesta and Pedro had some incredible success together at Barcelona, winning all they possibly could win together at both club and international level.

Games 257
Wins 182
Draws 42
Losses 33
Champions League wins 3
League titles 5
World Cup wins 1
European Championship wins 1
How could Iniesta resist picking a player he won three Champions Leagues, five league titles, a World Cup and a European Championship with?
Messi, Xavi and numerous other players made most of the headlines at Barcelona but, as the stats show, Pedro and Iniesta were one of the best partnerships in the game at one point.
Pedro eventually became a star in England too with Chelsea, but, unfortunately, we never got to see Iniesta ply his trade in the Premier League.
