Bruno Fernandes has dropped a hint on his future at Manchester United after posting a cryptic message.

The United captain has reportedly been set a deadline by Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal, who are ready to splash the cash to sign him before the Club World Cup in America. Transfer talk has intensified over the past 24 hours, with Fernandes said to have been given a one-week ultimatum to accept a £200million offer from Al Hilal.

Al Hilal are reportedly prepared to pay United £100million to tempt them into selling their captain and star player, despite Ruben Amorim wanting him to stay at Old Trafford.

Amid the speculation, Fernandes shared a quote in Portuguese to his Instagram story on Saturday, which reads: "If you tried and failed, congratulations! There are people who don't even try."

Fernandes' agent, Miguel Pinho, has been conducting negotiations in Riyadh with Al Hilal officials this past week, with optimism growing that a deal can be reached.

Following the end of their season, Fernandes has travelled with United to their off-season tour in Asia, featuring in their 3-1 friendly win over Hong Kong on Friday.

Speaking after the match, Amorim was adamant in expressing his belief that Fernandes has not played his final game for the club. He said: "I don't think so. I don't know for sure, nobody knows, but I don't think so.

"I think he's seeing us taking some actions to change things and that's all he asks. I think he wants to stay. He is saying no to a lot of things, but that shows he wants to win. He's really young, he's really good, he needs to be in the best league in the world."

Al Hilal have reportedly made it clear to Fernandes that their offer is a one-time deall, despite having shown interest in him over the past couple of years.

United sources have repeatedly stated that Fernandes is not on the market, but should he seek an exit from Old Trafford, they may be forced to accept the offer, which could significantly contribute to their squad overhaul.
