Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are growing increasingly impatient over a deal that would see Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes move to the club according to X account @SamC_reports
Al-Hilal, who sit 2nd in the Saudi Pro League, are due to take part in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup with the tournament scheduled to take place in 2 weeks time.
The Saudi-Arabian side are currently without a manager but are reportedly looking to appoint a new manager at the start of June before submitting a final list of players to FIFA before June 10th.
The Manchester United captain has previously shown signs that he is open to the move and project that Al-Hilal are proposing although no formal answer has been given to the Saudi club yet.
The club are reported to have offered Manchester United £300 million for the midfielder although are preparing other options if the deal is to collapse.
One of these falls in midfielder Nicolò Barella who currently plays at Inter Milan.
Bruno Fernandes In The 2024/25 Season
Bruno Fernandes, who was initially targeted by Al-Hilal in the earlier stages of May, has been a focal point for United this season playing a crucial role in the club’s Europa League run which saw them defeated by Tottenham Hotspur.
The midfielder was also the Red Devil’s top scorer this season having scored 10 goals across the Premier League campaign alongside scoring 7 goals in the Europa League.
As well as this, the Portuguese star has managed to contribute 10 assists in the Premier League whilst also managing to assist on 4 occasions in the Europa League helping to create crucial goals for United this season.
If the move was to go through, United would lose their captain, top scorer and arguably most important player and would have to recruit well to accurately replace the 30 year-old ahead of the 2025/26 season.
