Kobe Bryant's Lakers teammate was a virgin throughout his entire NBA career before finally having sex aged 38

Kobe Bryant's former Los Angeles Lakers teammate was a virgin throughout his entire NBA career before finally having sex, aged 38.

Bryant played with several big-name players during his legendary spell with the Lakers, including Shaquille O'Neal and Pau Gasol.

Not to mention A.C. Green, who played for the Lakers between 1985 and 1993 before returning for another campaign in the 1999/2000 season.

Green enjoyed a stellar 16-year basketball career, winning three NBA championships.

What's more, he missed just three games over the course of his career, setting the NBA ironman mark by playing in 1,192 consecutive games.

Green still holds the record for most consecutive games played in the NBA.

He will also be remembered for remaining a virgin for his entire NBA career until he got married in 2002.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Dwyane Wade hailed Green's remarkable feat as he referenced his decision to abstain from sex.

"That just shows you the workman that A.C. Green," he said. "Players back in the day don't get a lot of respect from players nowadays because of the skill set is different, right? But that's not the only - that's not what makes you great. And so you look at someone like an A.C. Green, who most players today, if you went up to him, they probably wouldn't know who he is - he was available for a 1,100 games straight. That's crazy.

"That right there is one of the biggest - the best - skill sets you can ever have. When you want to talk about the game of basketball. So shout out to him and what he had to do to keep himself healthy, in shape, and on a roster and all these different things back in the day."

Three-time NBA champion Wade added: "A.C. wasn't getting no buns though, yo, See, those talk in the hood when I was growing up. Like, we all knew that he was playing. Everybody's like, 'Cuz he ain't get no buns'."

Former NBA player Dorell Wright hilariously chimed in: "Boy got energy. He got energy."
