Chido Obi was the undisputed star of the 2025 post-season tour for Manchester United, earning himself plenty of plaudits in the process.
The 17-year-old put his name in the spotlight on Friday with two excellent goals for Manchester United during the exhibition game against Hong Kong.
Chido Obi was brought off the bench for the second half, replacing a struggling Rasmus Hojlund up front, and instantly outperformed his senior teammate.
The performance, while against opposition far below a Premier League standard, made it clear that Obi should be ahead of Hojlund in the pecking order going forward.
Obi’s brace may have sealed Hojlund’s fate, which would be to be sold this summer in order for United to recruit a proper number nine to lead the line.
