Paris Saint-Germain vs. Inter Milan: 1-0 to PSG

11:30: 1-0 to PSG. Achraf Hakimi scores against his former team. Phenomenal buildup by PSG, with the passing from Vitinha to Doue to Hakimi. Absolutely awful work by Inter handling the PSG attack so far.

Kickoff: And they’re off at the Allianz! Bit weird to watch a team in blue and a team in yellow at our home though.

Linkin Park!

The vocals of Mike Shinoda and Emily Armstrong carrying the Allianz Arena is a dream come true. They lined up with The Emptiness Machine, followed by a terrific performance of In The End. Shinoda rapping the starting section of Encore/Numb was amazing.

This Is What You Asked For came as a complete shock. The show wrapping up on Emily’s terrific vocals was perfect.

Lineups are out!

The Champions League for the 2024/25 season comes to a close today as Paris Saint-Germain faces Inter Milan in Bayern Munich’s home turf, the Allianz Arena. This is perhaps as bitter as it can get for Bayern fans for several reasons. Firstly, Bayern exited from the Champions League at the quarterfinal following a 5-4 aggregate loss to finalists Inter. Secondly, the sting of not being able to play Finale Dahoam, the final at home, and finally, the fact that this is Thomas Müller’s final season at Bayern certainly weighs the heaviest.

However, this is certainly a special CL final, for Linkin Park are performing. The legendary nu-metal band have composed tracks specific to the final, mixing their characteristic sound with ‘‘the sights and sounds of the Champions League.” As a long-time LP fan, this is extremely exciting news.

As bitter as this final may be, watch along with us. Whether you’re an Inter Milan fan like me, or a PSG fan, or you’re merely watching for the culture, or you’re a hate-watcher, watch it with the lovely folks of Bavarian Football Works.

Fun fact: The Allianz Arena is called the Munich Football Arena per UEFA. Very weird to hear but I guess it will do.

The Daily BPW Show — May 30th, 2025

Bayern Munich is off on break but silly season is in swing! One deal that is no longer part of silly season because the player has put pen to paper is that of Jonathan Tah to Bayern Munich. In this episode we talk about the following:

How will Jonathan Tah fit in at Bayern? Is he an upgrade on the defenders that Bayern already has?

Leroy Sané has been linked with UEFA Champions League semifinalists Arsenal FC and Europa League winners Tottenham Hotspur. This leads Samrin to question Mikel Arteta’s choices when it comes to players in his attack.

Frans Krätzig has moved to RB Salzburg; Bayern sells yet another product of their youth academy without giving him much of a run in the first team.

Paul Wanner might also be off to VfB Stuttgart although Heidenheim might want to keep him for the 2025-26 season.

What does the Florian Wirtz saga really say about Bayern?

Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show: Season 4, Episode 45

It was a long-time coming, but Bayern Munich finally got its man.

The club announced the signing of Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah, so now we can officially dive deep into what this means moving. Let’s kick things off with that and then explore some of the other hot button items at Bayern Munich these days. This is what we have on tap for this episode of the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show:

How will Jonathan Tah fit at Bayern Munich and how will his presence affect Kim Min-jae’s future in Bavaria.

The longer Leroy Sané’s saga goes on, the more teams are — allegedly — creeping out of the woodwork to show interest. Arsenal FC and Tottenham Hotspur are among them, so let’s discuss.

The Champions League finale is at the Allianz Arena this weekend. Bayern Munich failed in in its quest for finale dahoam, but Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain will do battle. Lert’s talk about how it all got to this point.
