Paris Saint-Germain is a team that plays significantly better when they score first and score early. Against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final, they were able to do just that.
In the 12th minute, Vitinha played a pass to Désiré Doué in front of the Inter Milan goal. The Frenchman then played a perfect pass to Achraf Hakimi for the easy tap-in to put PSG up 1-0 over Inter Milan.

Hakimi’s goal, but look at that Doue’s run in-behind and eye to pick out Hakimi in the box instead of going for goal himself?

The goal confirms that Luis Enrique, PSG’s manager, made the right choice in starting Doué over Bradley Barcola. After the goal, Hakimi, who previously played for Inter Milan, did not celebrate the goal.
This season, Hakimi has scored four goals in the Champions League and added five assists.
PSG is seeking its first Champions League title. They last appeared in the final in 2020 against FC Bayern Munich where they lost 1-0. The final tonight is being played in Bayern Munich’s stadium.
