The midfielder has worked his way back to full fitness and gone on to win three trophies for Barcelona this season. He’s also been rewarded with an international recall for the Nations League Final Four.
Spain’s players have joined up for the latest call-up on Saturday, with the national team posting a touching tribute to Gavi ahead of their semi-final tie with France.

> “It was a natural process. These injuries take time. Getting a medical clearance is one thing, and performance is another,” he added.

Gavi will be hoping for minutes on Thursday when Spain face France at the MHP Arena in Stuttgart.
