Vitinha labelled the fans as _“the main reason”_ Paris Saint-Germain wanted to win the UEFA Champions League trophy.
Speaking after [_les Parisiens_ thrashed Inter Milan in Munich](https://fromthespot.co.uk/20102/psg-5-0-inter-youngsters-shine-as-les-parisiens-seal-historic-first-champions-league-title-in-style/) on Saturday to claim their first UCL title, the Portuguese midfielder told **TNT Sport** that victory _“means everything”_ to the players.
_“The fans, I think they are the main reason that we wanted to win this trophy but we wanted to win this trophy for a lot of reasons. It’s our dream, it’s everyone’s dream and it’s my dream, and I’m glad we made it,”_ he said post-match.
PSG’s change of approach seems to have paid dividends, with the French club opting to swap their roster of star names for a well-rounded squad powered by youngsters – and Vitinha suggested that _“says a lot”_ about the team’s success.
_“This result is not by magic,”_ he explained. _“We’re a very good team and we’re very, very happy that we did it like this.”_
