Kalvin Phillips brands Leeds United star an 'absolute legend' after what happened on Saturday night

The promotion celebrations have largely come to an end for those of a Leeds United persuasion with focus now firmly planted on Premier League survival – but not for Patrick Bamford.

It felt like a month’s worth of partying. Initial promotion prompted celebrations and players chanting to fans through the gates of Elland Road, before more partying after the league title was won at Plymouth.

Then, the parade through Leeds via three open-top buses which saw 150,000 Leeds fans turn out on the streets of the town centre. The Leeds players then jetted off to Las Vegas to continue their celebrations.

But for Patrick Bamford, the partying has not stopped. The Kaizer Chiefs, authors of I Predict a Riot were performing at Temple Newsam on Saturday night, with their song the theme of Leeds’ promotion party.

Patrick Bamford joins Kaizer Chiefs on stage at Temple Newsam

Brilliant footage has emerged of Bamford joining the Kaizer Chiefs on stage on Saturday night. It comes after Bamford played the guitar in an Irish bar in Leeds in the early hours of the morning, after the parade.

Wearing a long-sleeved yellow away kit from the 2000-01 season with ‘Viduka 9’ on the back, Bamford played guitar as Ricky Wilson, Simon Rix and the rest of the Kaizer Chiefs belted out ‘I Predict A Riot’.

While Bamford was on stage with The Kaizer Chiefs, an Instagram Live emerged on his profile from backstage. Some brilliant footage that saw Bamford getting involved in front of plenty of Leeds fans.
