West Ham are set for a squad overhaul this summer as Graham Potter takes charge of his first pre-season at the Hammers.
The 2024/25 campaign was a failure at the London club as West Ham finished 14th in the Premier League.
With relegation fears heightening, multiple signings and departures are expected by Potter as he reshapes the team.
West Ham have already been linked with Kevin De Bruyne to reshape their midfield.
Now, Potter is targeting Josh Brownhill after the Burnley captain’s sensational season in the Championship.

Brownhill contract delay opens door for West Ham transfer
Brownhill has been at Burnley since 2020 and has been part of multiple Premier League campaigns at the Clarets.
The midfielder has seen his importance at Turf Moor increase over the years, and manager Scott Parker made him the captain of the side in August 2024.
Since then, his performances have been sensational, and the midfielder netted 18 Championship goals this season as Burnley won promotion with 100 points.

Brownhill is one of Burnley’s best players
Now, West Ham are targeting a move for the 29-year-old after delays over a new deal emerge at Turf Moor.
According to Sun on Sunday, page 55 (1 June), Burnley want to offer Brownhill a new deal as his contract is set to expire at the end of the month.
However, the Clarets are unwilling to meet the midfielder’s terms which has opened the door for a potential switch to West Ham.
Potter’s side will have to fight for his signature, with Everton also interested in acquiring Brownhill.

Brownhill on a free transfer would be a sensational move
With PSR limiting West Ham’s spending power this summer, Potter must be smart in the transfer window if they are to have success.
Therefore, picking up Brownhill on a free transfer is exactly the type of deal the Hammers should be looking at.
The midfielder is a leader and is on the back of a fantastic campaign in the Championship.
With Brownhill also having multiple years of experience in the Premier League, he would be a great signing at the London Stadium.
Hopefully, Potter can make contact with the 29-year-old over the coming weeks and start negotiating personal terms.
