Nottingham Forest are interested once again in Igor Jesus, and things are moving pretty quickly when it comes to the Botafogo striker.
Evangelos Marinakis wanted a striker in January, and after failing to land one, it would appear that the Forest owner is keen to waste zero time this summer to get a new recruit up front.
Jesus is being linked with Forest just days after the team’s season ended in some disappointment with a 1-0 defeat at home to Chelsea, which denied the team a place in next season’s Champions League.
Forest also want two other Botafogo players, but it would appear as though the deal for Jesus is the first one that the club want to try and get over the line as an immediate priority.
With transfers, the landscape can change all of the time and now some new, exciting information is doing the rounds from Brazil when it comes to Forest and their hopes of signing Jesus.

Agent of Igor Jesus makes exciting claim about Nottingham Forest transfer
It would appear as though this deal is now moving very quickly, with Jesus seemingly keen on the move to the City Ground and now, the player’s agent has provided an update.
Brazilian journalist Felipe Alves has spoken to Jefferson Batista, the owner of Jesus’ agency, and it feels as though things are going to be ramped up pretty quickly with this one.
Alves was told: “Igor loves Botafogo and his wish is to stay, but our decision is to sell him to Nottingham Forest.

“The club also wants to keep him, but we decided on the transfer. It’s business, and Igor’s stay doesn’t pay the bills.
“At first, Igor will stay at Botafogo until the end of the Club World Cup and then he will travel to England.”

Forest need more firepower and Jesus could thrive
The striker could be a fantastic addition to the Forest squad, with Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi the only two strikers currently in place at the football club when it comes to centre-forwards.
Jesus might not be the only new addition in the attack this summer, and this would represent a superb addition to the ranks as a starter in the transfer window, with a quick move seemingly likely.
The Brazilian striker feels like the sort of player who comes alive in the penalty box, and his form of last season helped Botafogo claim their first-ever league title in Brazil.
His agent’s comments are now extremely exciting, and it appears as though it will be all systems go on this deal once the Club World Cup finishes in July.
