It is now June and Leeds United are yet to make any movements in the summer transfer window, six weeks after The Whites confirmed promotion back to the Premier League.
On April 21, Leeds secured automatic promotion back to England’s top flight after a two-year hiatus and yet, the new-look transfer team are still waiting to confirm their first summer arrival at Elland Road.
Adam Underwood has been thrown in at the deep end as the club’s new sporting director. His first-ever transfer window in the role, in what is being deemed by many as the club’s most important for years.
A priority for Underwood will be a new striker. One that Leeds and Daniel Farke can rely on to score goals in the Premier League and one forward linked with a move to Elland Road is Ireland star Troy Parrott.

Troy Parrott branded ‘best striker in the world’ amid Leeds links
Parrott has enjoyed a stunning campaign, having joined AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2024 from Spurs. A record of 20 goals and five assists, achieved in both the Eredivisie and the Europa League this term.
Leeds want Parrott but The Whites have been told he will cost £25m. Parrott himself has seemed to play down rumours of an exit, but interest is likely to be aplenty with Leeds among the clubs said to be keen.
Parrott posted a message on Instagram this weekend, underlining his delight at playing for “beautiful club” AZ. Among the comments, Sunderland’s Romaine Mundle said “the best striker in the world”.

Which other strikers are on Leeds United’s shortlist…
Lecce’s Nikola Krstovic is said to be a target for Leeds. The Montenegro ace has sparkled for Lecce, having a hand in 16 Serie A goals in a side that only scored 27 all season – surviving relegation on the final day.
But Omar Marmoush’s £59m move to Man City means Lecce may slap a £50m price tag on Krstovic this summer. Anderlecht’s Denmark star Kasper Dolberg is also an option for Leeds after a 24-goal season.
Similarly, USG’s Promise David has also been linked with Leeds, not long after winning a Canada call-up under Jesse Marsch. In only his first season, he netted a brace to help USG win the Belgian title.
