Barcelona sporting director Deco has sounded out a warning ahead of the summer transfer window.
As usual, Barcelona are being linked with dozens of players across the globe as the rumor mill gets excited about who might arrive at the Camp Nou this summer.
Deco says Barca must not sign players for the sake of it and only focus on signings that can improve the current squad.
“No club is going to win every year, they just need to compete every year. We have room to grow for a few more years. We must not fall into the tendency of signing players unnecessarily,” he said, via Sport.
“We have to see what we have and what we need to achieve. Barcelona’s winning teams had players who came to the club with a name and others who wanted to win important things. That’s what’s happening now.”
The current speculation suggests that Barcelona will add Joan Garcia to the squad next, while the club are also hoping to also sign a left winger.
