Amid the chaos of Paris Saint-Germain breaking their duck and adding their first-ever Champions League trophy to their bloated cabinet – the eagle-eyed fans noticed that boss Luis Enrique had changed T-shirts during the full-time jubilation and the four beautiful worlds across the front have now been revealed.
The Ligue 1 heavyweights put in a five-star display against the Italians with the likes of Desire Doue, Kvhicha Kvaratskhelia and Achraf Hakimi – three 2025 Ballon d'or contenders – all getting on the scoresheet. As did 19-year-old Senny Mayulu just two minutes after entering the fray.
Understandably, the post-match celebrations were wild. In tandem, PSG fans and supporters alike couldn’t hold their emotions in after winning their first-ever Champions League with a 5-0 win over Inter Milan – but the most poignant gesture of the night went to Enrique, who paid tribute to his late daughter.

Enrique’s Emotional Post-Match Gesture
Spaniard paid tribute to his late daughter, Xana, who died aged nine
Ahead of the showpiece encounter, Gijon-born Enrique – who is widely regarded as one of the best managers in world football – revealed that he was going to commemorate his late daughter, Xana, who died at the tender age of nine from bone cancer in 2019.
“I have incredible memories because my daughter loved parties, and I’m sure she’s still throwing them wherever she is,” he said, per the Metro, before adding: “I remember an incredible photo I have with her at the Champions League final in Berlin, after winning the Champions League, planting an FC Barcelona flag on the pitch.”
“I hope to be able to do the same with PSG. My daughter won’t be there, she won’t be there physically, but she will be there spiritually, and that’s very important to me. I’m motivated to continue moving forward with what life gives me, sharing it with my family.”

What Luis Enrique Told Kylian Mbappe in Fiery 1-on-1 Meeting Before PSG v Barcelona
Footage of Luis Enrique's fiery one-on-one conversation with Kylian Mbappe has re-emerged.
Xana was the same age when she and her family were saddened by the news that she was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. Enrique was in charge of the Spanish national team but stepped away from his duties as a result.
And after the Spaniard’s side’s comprehensive win over Serie A outfit Inter Milan, Enrique swapped shirts to wear a black T-shirt which had a cartoon image of him with his daughter swishing a huge flag above her head, hands interlocked with his father.
Underneath the cartoon – which was a depiction of Xana holding the Catalan flag after Enrique’s Barcelona won 3-1 against Juventus in the Champions League final 10 years ago – were four words, when translated into English, meant:
“We are the champions!”
Understanding that football is a game of ups and downs, Enrique suggested that he feels his daughter’s spirit more when the latter strikes and his side, often uncharacteristically, taste defeat. In his post-match interview with TNT Sports, he said:
“I don’t need to win the Champions League to remember my daughter. My daughter is always with us, especially when we lost. My family is enjoying everything, trying to get the positives even in the bad moments.”
Enrique and his wife, Elena Cullell, have also set up Fundaction Xana, a charity in their late daughter’s name. Its purpose, as per its website, is to ‘work with commitment, rigour and sensitivity to support families affected by their child’s illness’.
