With the 2024-25 season over, FC Barcelona are looking to strengthen some key parts of their team in the upcoming summer transfer window. Last season, the Blaugranes were not able to bring a lot of reinforcements for Hansi Flick’s first season in charge, with Dani Olmo and Pau Victor being the only two additions to their squad.
However, only the addition of Olmo has been a significant boost for the Catalan team, as the Spaniard has adapted seamlessly to the Barcelona team, and has had a very good first season with Hansi Flick’s team.
Dani Olmo did not had an easy time
There were a lot of doubts about his signing last summer, as most of the fans wanted Nico Williams to be signed. However, Flick wanted Olmo, and the midfielder himself was very keen to play for his childhood club, which ultimately pushed Deco to pick him over Nico.
But even after his signing, there were other challenges, as he remained unregistered by the time the first two league matches were played, and there was a lot of uncertainty about his future throughout the season because of Barcelona’s contention with La Liga about its FFP situation.
Similarly, injuries also kept hounding him throughout the season, thus keeping him from getting a consistent run of games.
The midfielder still impressed in his first season

Still, there is no doubt that Olmo was a very good addition to the squad, and according to SPORT, Deco, his Sporting Committee, and Hansi Flick, all are very satisfied with the Spaniard and are looking forward to seeing him get even better next season.
This last season, the midfielder played 1934 minutes, in which he scored 12 goals, provided 7 assists, and won 3 penalties. But his performances have been particularly decisive in La Liga, as his contributions directly won the team at least 8 points, as he proved to be the difference in the matches against Rayo Vallecano, Espanyol, Las Palmas, and Mallorca.
Furthermore, he was also key in the match against Celta Vigo, in which Barcelona came from behind to win 4-3. He won the La Liga MVP award four times this season, and in addition to his goals, he also provided 38 key passes in 39 games.
However, Dani Olmo is still not fully content with his performances and is looking to give even more in the upcoming season.
