Haliburton’s father, who had been banned from attending games for the foreseeable future, had the ban lifted just in time to witness his son help close out the Eastern Conference Finals in style.

The Pacers defeated the New York Knicks 125-108 in Game 6, winning the series 4-2 and punching their ticket to the NBA Finals.

“I told you, it is going to be better than you think,” Haliburton’s father said, via Forbes Sports’ Tony East.

With his father watching courtside, Tyrese delivered a strong performance — 21 points on 9-of-17 shooting, 13 assists, 3 steals. Pascal Siakam led the Pacers in scoring with 31 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 blocks, and was named Eastern Conference Finals MVP.

The Pacers now move on to face the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night.
