Jadon Sancho could be reintegrated at Manchester United if Chelsea decides against making his move permanent this summer, according to Ben Jacobs.
The 25-year-old left United for Stamford Bridge on loan last August in what many believed to be an 'obligation' to buy for £25m. But when the English winger dropped out of form, news of a £5m penalty fee surfaced that would send the player back to Old Trafford.
There remains uncertainty over Chelsea's decision to either keep Sancho or opt out of the agreement to buy. He netted in their Europa Conference League final win over Real Betis this week and has previously indicated his desire to stay put.

Sancho has aimed subtle digs at United throughout the campaign amid the club's struggles, finishing 15th in the Premier League. He is one of three players whose professionalism has been brought into disrepute in recent years.
Ruben Amorim banished Marcus Rashford from the first team in the winter because the English attacker didn't "buy into his ideas".
Alejandro Garnacho has similarly drawn the Portuguese's ire since replacing Erik ten Hag. The Argentine winger's frustrated response to not starting the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur was met with his manager telling him he had better "pray you can find a new club".
Jacobs gave an update on Sancho's situation and what his future holds should Chelsea decide to send him back. He told The United Stand:
"If Sancho and Chelsea can't agree terms, they'll return him to Manchester United for a £5m penalty fee and then we have to wait and see because I don't think it's as clear cut as Garnacho and Rashford. There could be a way of Sancho being reintegrated at Manchester United if he's returned. I think it's more 50/50 depending on how the player responds to returning."
Sancho suggested his time with the Red Devils was over when he left for Chelsea last summer. He uploaded a short Instagram post that read, "Thank you to all the fans, staff and teammates (Manchester United). Wishing everyone all the best in the future."

The London-born winger arrived at Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021 for £73m but struggled to live up to expectations.
Amorim's predecessor, Ten Hag, exiled him from the first team in September 2023 after he branded the Dutch coach a "liar" for claiming he'd underperformed in training, and he hasn't played for the club since.
