As the hours pass, Tijjani Reijnders seems to be getting increasingly closer to leaving AC Milan and joining Manchester City.
According to what Calciomercato.com, have reported, the right offer from City has not yet arrived on Igli Tare’s table but the Rossoneri have not at all ruled out the possible departure of the Dutch midfielder towards the Premier League.
This is despite Giorgio Furlani’s words before the last league match against Monza, in which he claimed sacrifices will not be necessary. Milan are holding firm though, and demanding what they believe to be a fair fee.
Agreement in principle
As reported yesterday, there is an agreement between Reijnders and Manchester City regarding the contract he would sign, which will be perfected in detail once the agreement between the clubs arrives.

It will see Reijnders’ salary almost doubled compared to the current one, up to €7m net per season. It shows how much City want him, and he is the first choice to replace Kevin De Bruyne in the eyes of Pep Guardiola.
The first offer made by the Citizens was €55m plus €5m in bonuses and it was not accepted by Milan, who continue to ask for at least €75m. It is very likely that the right offer could arrive within the next week.
City want to have Reijnders available for the Club World Cup, which will start in the United States on June 15, together with Rayan Cherki who is another target.
