It's so obvious who David Moyes will look to sign if Jarrad Branthwaite leaves Everton for…

Everton are at risk of losing Jarrad Branthwaite this summer transfer window.

Everton are desperate to extend Jarrad Branthwaite’s contract, but as it stands, there has been no progress on that front.

Branthwaite’s future on Merseyside was thrown into doubt in March when Thomas Tuchel left him out of the England squad.

It was reported that the 22-year-old felt like he may have to leave for a Champions League club to be considered by Tuchel ahead of the 2026 World Cup in the US.

Now, Chelsea are exploring a deal to sign Branthwaite this summer, with a fresh enquiry going in earlier this week.

If he does move on, it’s so obvious who David Moyes will look to sign as his replacement.

Jarell Quansah already sounded out to replace Jarrad Branthwaite

Everton have been tracking Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah ahead of the summer transfer window, with the Reds willing to sanction his sale for around £30m.

Moyes has had no issue in exploring deals for Liverpool players, with young winger Ben Doak also linked to Goodison Park.

Quansah was called up to Tuchel’s first England squad but was left out of the June camp, having not featured much in Arne Slot’s side of late.

That will certainly prompt him to look at a summer exit, and it has been claimed he’d be open to a move to the blue half of Merseyside.

So, all roads seem to lead towards Quansah, whom Moyes evidently admires.

Plenty of interest in Quansah

Everton aren’t the only club showing an interest in Quansah.

In fact, there is widespread interest in the former Bristol Rovers loanee, with four other Premier League clubs keen.

Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Bournemouth are among the potential suitors, according to CaughtOffside.

German giants Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen are also circling, so evidently it won’t be an easy deal to do for the Toffees.

But, perhaps the draw of staying in the city could be enough to tempt Quansah to team up with Moyes’ side.
