Everton are in the market for new players – and Jack Grealish has been linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Friedkin Group are looking to oversee a productive summer, after a brilliant impact in 2025 by David Moyes.
Everton survived comfortably in the end, and it is now about building ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Everton want to start their new chapter positively, and good recruitment this summer is paramount.
A number of players are leaving, which means several new stars will be coming in – and Jack Grealish is a player Everton have interest in.
The winger has rather lost his way at the Etihad Stadium and is expected to move on this summer – and City are now seemingly set to do something which makes his departure look even more likely.

2025/26 is a hugely important season for Grealish.
The star has not been a regular at City for some time now, and with a World Cup taking place in 2026, his situation needs to change.

But opportunities at City are going to become even more unlikely if he stays.
Because City are in the mix for £25 million (TEAMtalk) Lyon star Rayan Cherki, who has also actually been linked with Everton.
But City are very much in the driving seat for the Frenchman, and him making that move will surely dash any remaining hopes Grealish had of playing there regularly.
They are accelerating talks according to Foot Mercato, and it very much seems he is their main target now, with Florian Wirtz opting to join Liverpool.

Everton should see about loan move for Jack Grealish
In an ideal world, Everton would be able to sign Grealish on loan this summer.
Given his struggles in recent times, it would perhaps not be the right move for Everton to commit big money into signing him. At least not straight away.
Jack Grealish for Man City in 2024/25
Appearances – 32
Minutes played – 1521
Goals – 3
Assists – 5
But whether City would be open to a loan move and be happy to pay part of his wages is another question.
But the Cherki pursuit really does suggest Grealish will be on his way, and it will be fascinating to see if the Toffees do swoop.
Everton do have a potential secret weapon to sign Grealish in Jordan Pickford, so perhaps this move cannot be ruled out.
