Liverpool could return to pursuing a deal for Newcastle star Anthony Gordon, should they require a new winger to replace Luis Diaz this summer, according to TEAMtalk.
The Reds have already submitted a record-breaking offer to sign Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz this summer, as they look to claim the Premier League title for a consecutive season, and challenge on multiple fronts as well.
Boss Arne Slot and his entourage do not intend on stopping there, and they are expected to add further attacking reinforcements, including potentially a replacement for Diaz, amid interest in the Colombian.

As per TEAMtalk, Liverpool still have Gordon on their radar, despite being unable to pry him away from St James' Park last summer. Newcastle could reportedly demand as much as £80 million for the Englishman's services.
The Magpies are in no immediate rush to part ways with any of their stars, as they have carefully managed their spending in recent transfer windows to avoid pressure from PSR and FFP regulations. However, it is thought that they would favour Gordon's sale over the likes of Alexander Isak and Tino Livramento, should they need to raise funds.
Dubbed "special", Gordon was one of the best wingers in the Premier League last season, notching six goals and five assists in 34 appearances. He is a boyhood Liverpool fan, and is believed to be open to a return to Merseyside.

Meanwhile, David Ornstein did not rule out the possibility of Diaz leaving, and the 28-year-old has been linked with potential moves to Saudi Arabia and Barcelona. It is likely Slot will demand a replacement for him in the event that he leaves given he played a key role in the first-team during the 2024/25 season, making 50 appearances across all competitions.
