Real Madrid’s promising young talent, Arda Güler, has firmly quashed speculation linking him with a summer move to Inter Milan, asserting his unwavering belief in the “Merengues'” long-term project and his determination to establish himself as a key player at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Recent reports in the Italian media had suggested that Inter had initiated preliminary discussions with Güler’s representatives regarding a potential transfer, with his national teammate Hakan Çalhanoğlu even publicly endorsing a move to the San Siro to secure more playing time. However, Güler’s recent comments to Marca paint a clear picture of his immediate future.

“Real Madrid gave me a plan, and I still believe in it. I’m sure I will succeed in Madrid,” the 20-year-old Turkish international stated emphatically. “I’ve bought a house here. I work hard and I am always ready to play.”
Güler also expressed his deep appreciation for the Real Madrid faithful, highlighting the significant impact of their support. “I love Real Madrid fans; their support means a lot to me. I am very grateful,” he added. “I came to Madrid to play and be an important part of the team, and I won’t stop fighting until I achieve it.”
Despite his undeniable talent, Güler has largely featured as a substitute under Carlo Ancelotti this season. In 30 appearances across all competitions, he has accumulated just 1,088 minutes of action. Nevertheless, he has made his mark by contributing three goals and five assists, showcasing glimpses of the potential that led Real Madrid to sign him.
Güler’s contract at the Estadio Bernabéu runs until June 2029, a clear indication of Real Madrid’s long-term plans for the young midfielder. His latest comments reinforce his desire to fulfill that vision, suggesting that clubs interested in his services this summer, such as Inter, will need to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements.
Inter, meanwhile, has been linked with other forwards, including Como’s Nico Paz and Lille’s Jonathan David, the latter of whom is reportedly available on a free transfer. However, Arda Güler’s focus remains squarely on making his mark at Real Madrid.
