'The people' - Alex Valle's class social media post, as Barcelona star doesn't forget Celtic

It seems a long time ago now that Alex Valle was donning Celtic colours.

The 21-year-old initially joined Celtic from Barcelona last summer on a season-long loan deal, but things changed in January.

Valle was performing well under Brendan Rodgers, but talk around Kieran Tierney returning started, including a possible move in the winter.

Before you knew it, Valle was out of the door, and he returned to Barcelona and then proceeded to join Cesc Fabregas at Serie A side Como, until the end of the season.

Despite the rising Spanish left-back only spending a short period of time in Glasgow, he still got a taste of what it is like playing for Scotland’s most successful club, and he hasn’t forgotten about it.

Alex Valle remembers Celtic after the 2024/25 season concludes

Celtic missed out on the Treble after their Scottish Cup final loss to Aberdeen at Hampden, but the double was still secured by Rodgers.

Valle got his hands on both trophies, including qualifying for a Premiership medal, and he was sure to remember how his season panned out when looking back on the whole campaign.

He posted several images of himself in Celtic colours on Instagram, including lifting the League Cup, and how ‘proud’ he is of the season, as well as ‘the people I got to know’.

‘So proud of everything this experience has meant; the growth, the memories, the people I got to know,” shared Valle.

‘Already looking forward to seeing what next year will bring. Grateful and excited for what’s ahead’.

Valle’s season for Celtic and Como in numbers

It has been suggested that Valle will now make his move to Como permanent, with Fabregas’ side securing a very strong tenth-placed finish after promotion.

The Spain U21 international was a regular starter under Fabregas, and he racked up some strong minutes this term, despite switching clubs and leagues midway through the campaign.

This is how Valle’s season looked in numbers.
