Chukwueze admits he was cheering for PSG against Inter and reflects on derbies

Samuel Chukwueze revealed that he was supporting Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final against Inter.

PSG ended up thrashing Inter in Munich to win the Champions League for the first time, scoring five times without reply. Desire Doue was the start of the show as he scored twice on the night and added an assist too.

Achraf Hakimi opened the scoring after 12 minutes, then a second went in when a shot deflected in off Federico Dimarco. PSG got a third through Doue, then Khvicha Kvaratskhelia got number four and Senny Mayulu added a fifth.

Chukwueze rooted for PSG

Chukwueze spoke to FlashScore to preview the final between PSG and Inter, and he admitted that he had to support the Parisians. His comments were relayed by MilanPress.

“If Inter win, our fans will be very angry with us, so I don’t want them to win. Since I’m a Milan fan, I honestly want Paris Saint-Germain to win,” he said.

“It will be a very tough and intense final. Both teams have shown great quality and deserve to be here, so it won’t be an easy match for either of them. In the end, I just want the best team to win and win the trophy.

“Playing against Inter is always a tough challenge, because they are a strong and experienced team that knows how to manage big games. We have not yet faced the current PSG team, so it is a different test.

“This season we have faced Inter five times and we have not lost any of these games. We managed to win three times and draw the other two. However, every game is different and you have to give everything to get a positive result.”

It must be noted that there are some doubts about how long Chukwueze will be a Milan player for. There are rumours of a potential sale, but the arrival of Massimiliano Allegri gives everyone a clean slate in theory.
