Report: The positions Wolves will seek to strengthen this summer as plan to replace Cunha now…

Wolves are facing a huge summer, and there is now word on a potential plan of action with Matheus Cunha on the verge of leaving.

Cunha is set to join Manchester United, as has been on the cards for a while now.

Cunha was spotted outside the Lowry hotel in Manchester this morning, suggesting that he has been finalising his move to the Red Devils.

An announcement could well be imminent, and once his exit is confirmed, attention will turn to potential incomings.

And it has now been shared which positions Wolves will look to address in the next windows.

This window is set to be one of the most important ones for some time.

Wolves are losing Cunha, and this will obviously be tricky to deal with given the quality of the player.

As such, Wolves are planning to sign two number 10s to replace the Brazilian according to Sky Sports.

MORE WOLVES STORIES

Recently, Wolves have been linked with Harvey Elliott as someone who could perhaps play in his position as the left 10.

There have also been reports linking James McAtee to Wolves and more recently, Bilal El Khannouss has emerged as a target for Wolves.

Sky say that, on top of targeting two number 10s, Wolves will also look at a new central midfielder, a striker and potentially two new full-backs/wing-backs if Nelson Semedo and Rayan Ait-Nouri both leave.

Crucially, Vitor Pereira will prioritise players who want to play for Wolves and embrace Wolverhampton as he bids to strengthen the squad.

Fosun have chance to show how much they care about Wolves

Wolves fans want to see the club push on next season following a very turbulent 2024/25 campaign.

It wasn’t the season everyone was hoping for, but Vitor Pereira came in midway through and totally changed the picture.

He now deserves backing, and Fosun have the chance to get back in the good books with Wolves fans, having not been in them for some time now.

Many supporters feel the owners have not invested as they should have, and they have also faced criticism over the raising of ticket prices.

But Fosun, who like to operate with a self-sustaining model, have the chance to show they do care about Wolves by handing Pereira the tools he needs to get this team pushing up the table.
