Harry Amass thought it was eye-opening to see international support for Manchester United on the post-season tour.
Ruben Amorim named a 32-man travelling squad for friendlies against ASEAN All-Stars and Hong Kong, and plenty of youngsters from the academy travelled with the first-team to Asia.
United were defeated 1-0 in Malaysia, but they won 3-1 in Hong Kong to end the post-season tour on a positive note.
Amass featured in both friendlies. The youngster enjoyed a breakthrough into the first-team this season, making his senior bow against Leicester in March, which led to further appearances.
After winning against Hong Kong, Amass spoke to MUTV and said: "It was a good game, the pitch was tough to play on. The second half, the boys got it over the line.
"I think the tour has been good. I've been to places I haven't been before and the fans are so crazy, they've shown their passion. It's good to be around the lads and everyone is together.
"I think sometimes you forget or don't think about it because you're in England, but coming across here is an eye opener with how massive for the club is."
Chido Obi scored twice against Hong Kong and Amass revealed the striker had previously been the butt of jokes for not scoring. "We've been waiting for him to score," Amass said. "We know he's a great finisher and dangerous inside the box. We bantered him, but he'll be happy now he scored twice."
Toby Collyer was also interviewed by MUTV and said: "It's been a good first season for me, I've had a couple of injuries, but I think it's a good opportunity for me to learn and know my body better going into senior football.
"Overall, the season has been good and these sorts of tours are good to see a wider range of fans and experience different teams. The fans in Malasyia were really welcoming, lovely people."
Collyer was promoted to the first team at the beginning of the campaign and is seen as an important member of the squad, but he has missed time on the pitch due to muscle injuries.
The 21-year-old made an excellent cameo from the bench in the FA Cup third round victory against Arsenal in January and excelled against Southampton. Collyer was also given minutes against Brighton and followed those appearances with a start against Rangers in the Europa League.
Erik ten Hag handed Collyer, who starred during the pre-season tour of the United States, his senior debut in the Community Shield in August.
Collyer made his Premier League debut when he replaced Casemiro at half-time as United trailed 2-0 to Liverpool in September.
