Liverpool is set to welcome hundreds of thousands of fans in what will be an exciting music month for the city. Concert and festival season is in full swing with international stars flying across the world to perform right on our very own doorstep.

Hot on the heels of Radio 1's Big Weekend in Sefton Park and the Baltic Triangle's annual Baltic Weekender festival, around 500,000 music fans will visit venues across the city. Expect glitter, colourful outfits and more with crowds dressing up for some massive nights uot.

Take a look at some of the big music events taking place across Liverpool this month. There are also still tickets available for a select few shows here.

Anfield Stadium recruits global superstars to perform to a sea of thousands. This year's heavy hitters include Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band who kick off the season with shows on June 4 and 9.

The Boss singer will be followed by pop star Dua Lipa performing back to back shows on June 24 and 25. Anfield's musical showcase will come to a close at the hands of indie songstress Lana Del Rey on June 28.

The Anfield Road Stand expansion project at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium increased the stadium's capacity to 61,276. The five upcoming concerts alone will usher in around 250,000 music lovers to the city.

On The Waterfront

On The Waterfront has become a highly-anticipated event in Liverpool's live music calendar. The music festival returns to the Pier Head from June 19 - 22.

The Wombats, one of Liverpool’s biggest musical exports over the last 20 years, will headline the festival's opening night, Thursday, June 19. Irish folk-band The Wolfe Tones will headline the festival on Friday, June 20. On The Waterfront will be the band's last performance in Great Britain.

Cream Classical will bring its famous 50-piece Kaleidoscope Orchestra, performers, and vocalists together for another set featuring the biggest tracks from Cream’s history. Cream Classical will take over the stage on Saturday, June 21, with seven supporting DJs and an additional "very special" guest is still to be revealed.

Grammy Award-winning artist Sting will close the event on Sunday, June 22. Sting will make his long-awaited return to the city as part of his STING 3.0 world tour.

The waterfront arena welcomes a variety of events across June including Celtic Throne, a musical theatre piece on the Irish sage and legislator Ollav Fola, and Miss Americano, a Taylor Swift tribute act.

The most notable event in the calendar is disco legend Diana Ross who hits the stage on June 30. The undisputed icon will bring a fabulous month of music to a close, likely with her charting topping hits "I'm Coming Out', 'Love Hangover', 'Chain Reaction', and many more.
