After the Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, some were wondering if Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce would retire from the NFL and move into the world of entertainment along with his sweetheart, pop icon Taylor Swift.
But how about doing both?
When it's over in the NFL, Kelce might also have some roles as an actor if Adam Sandler's recent words are anything to go by. With Travis having a small role in the film Happy Gilmore 2, we now see a little snippet in the movie's new official trailer.
Sander was recently asked to rate Kelce's acting chops, and he didn't have to think about his answer.
"A 12. Funny as hell. Funny as hell. No kidding - unbelievable!" Sandler said via Vanity Fair.
So Kelce, 35, when weighing up on whether or not to retire, now has two things he could pursue. ...
His relationship with Swift, which has seen the power couple pair in the middle of rumors about marriage and babies and the like ...
And his acting career.
While it might seem like a long shot, for Travis to even be cast in the movie is a big plus, and now, to get the ultimate vote of confidence from Sandler shows that the tight end might have some acting talent.
Of course, the proof will be in how his performance is received when the movie is released, but if Sandler's words are anything to go by, we will thoroughly enjoy Travis' acting.
