Chelsea have been advised to send Jadon Sancho back to Manchester United by Stamford Bridge hero Frank Sinclair.
The Blues face a difficult decision over Sancho’s future at the club following a mixed loan spell in west London.
While Sancho helped Chelsea qualify for the Champions League and win the Conference League, he struggled for consistency during his stint at the club.
Chelsea agreed to sign Sancho on a permanent transfer this summer for around £25m when they took him from Manchester United on loan.
However, the west Londoners can escape the transfer agreement by paying United £5m in compensation.

Chelsea are yet to make their final decision but are leaning towards keeping Sancho beyond this season, providing he agrees to take a pay-cut.
But ex-Chelsea Sinclair doubts Sancho is ‘the answer’ for Enzo Maresca’s side and believes the money could be better spent on other additions.

Sancho scored five goals and made four assists during his loan spell at Chelsea after being banished by former Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.
Asked if Chelsea should sign Sancho on a permanent transfer, Sinclair told the Daily Express: ‘The only person who can answer that is the recruitment team.
‘Chelsea do need a right-footed player on the left-hand side so Jadon is definitely one for them to seriously consider.
‘He has the quality, he has plenty of experience, but I am not sure he has the all-around game for Chelsea to get to the next level and win the Premier League, which has to be the aim for the club.

‘So I don’t see him being the answer.’
While Sinclair has doubts over Sancho, he named Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers as a player he would welcome at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are one of a number of clubs who have expressed interest in the England international, who Villa could be tempted to sell this summer for financial reasons.
‘I like Morgan Rogers at Aston Villa, Chelsea need back-up on the left-hand side of the pitch in the forward positions,’ Sinclair added.
‘There is definite need to add more established quality to this young squad.
‘Chelsea got Champions League football, which was the aim, but now if they want to challenge for the Premier League then they need more strength in depth, more established players that can ensure Chelsea can be more consistent during the season.’
The Blues are set to bolster Maresca’s squad with the £30m signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town.
Chelsea enjoyed an encouraging campaign under Maresca, qualifying for the Champions League and winning the Conference League.
